The Gorchakov Fund organizes events with the goal of providing support to development of public diplomacy, improving the foreign policy image of Russia abroad and achieving other statutory goals of the Fund.

The Gorchakov Fund provides support to various non-governmental organizations in implementing projects, which comply with the goals of the Fund as outlined in its statute, through grants awards. Review of applications for receiving grants and grants awards are administered in accordance with the Grants Provisions.

The Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund was established in accordance with a decree of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry A. Medvedev on February 2, 2010.

The Russian-Georgian/Georgian-Russian Public Center was founded in July of 2013 with the support of the Gorchakov Fund and Institute of International Relations (Tbilisi).

In 2013 a decision was made to create a Club of Friends of the Gorchakov Fund and invite the most active young participants of the research and educational programs for cooperation.
