Leonid B. Melamed
In 1980 began his career as a machine-assembly technician at the industrial group Oktyabr in Kamensk-Uralsk. Worked as a carpenter and engineer-geodesist at the construction and repair group Uralasbest. 1987 – graduated from the Novosibirsk Electrical Engineering Institute with a major in Theoretical Basics of Radio Engineering. Worked as a junior research fellow at the development laboratory of the Faculty of Radio and Electrical Engineering at the Novosibirsk Electrical Engineering Institute. 1992 – established Alemar Bank, which later developed into an investment and financial corporation Alemar.
Graduated from the Moscow Institute of Advanced Training of the Ministry of Nuclear Energy of the Russian Federation. Held positions of Director of the Novosibirsk’s ZAO Limbork, Executive Director of the association of enterprises Soyuz Energoservis, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Novosibirskenergo. 1998 – General Director of the state group Rosenergoatom. 2010 – First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of RAO UES of Russia, was responsible for the financial block, participated in preparation of the electric power sector reform. Founded Russian holding Effortel Russia, which specializes in innovation technologies in the area of telecommunications. 2007 – appointed General Director by a decree of the President of the Russian Federation and later became a member of the Board of Directors of the state corporation Russian Nanotechnologies Corporation (RUSNANO). 2009 – CEO of the Holding Company Composite.
PhD in Economic Sciences, defended a thesis on “Adaptive-Innovative Management in the Sphere of Services of Natural Monopolists”. Co-author of several books on the problems of economics and electric power industry.
