The XIV Diplomatic Seminar of Young Experts has ended

On August 2, another Diplomatic Seminar of Young Experts has ended. This time the event lasted for four days and was taking place in the Samara region. The participants visited the cities of Samara and Tolyatti and the annual youth forum “iVolga-2019”. The event was attended by 26 participants form Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Poland, Brazil, the US and Canada and 9 participants from Samar and the Samara region.

During the event, top Russian and foreign experts in foreign affairs, geopolitics, trade and economic relations, technologies, digitization and other areas presented to the participants.

An official opening ceremony of the event took place at the Samara Public Library. Representatives of the hosting region welcomed the participants: Head of the Department of External Affairs of the Administration of the Governor of the Samara region Vera Shcherbacheva, Chairman of the Civic Chamber of the Samara region Victor Soyfer and Head of the Project Office of Digital Development of the Samara region Dmitry Kamynin. Also, during the first day of the program, Dmitry Suslov and Alexey Fenenko gave lectures to the attendees. The first day of the program ended with a panel discussion dedicated to development of territories through tourism. The speakers included Vice President of the Federation of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers of Russia Leonid Gelibterman, expert of the Center for Strategic Research “North-West”, a representative of the Russian Federation in the project of the Council of Europe Yuliya Mikhaleva and Head of the Tourist Information Center of the Samara region Ksenia Zvonkovskaya. The session was moderated by Advisor on Youth Policy, acting Head of the International Administration of the Yesenin Ryazan State University Oleg Sulitsa.
