The School on Central Asia is opening in Dushanbe
On November 12-16, the VIII School on Central Asia will be organized in Dushanbe. The School on Central Asia is an educational program for young experts in foreign affairs, scientists, journalists and politicians from Central Asia, Russia and other countries interested in development of international relations in the region.
The Gorchakov Fund has been organizing the School since 2012. The main theme of 2019 will be “Soft Power” of Major Actors in Central Asia: Confrontation and Results”. The event will be organized by the Gorchakov Fund in partnership with Russian-Tajik (Slavic) University. Informational Analytical Center of Lomonosov Moscow State University will become a media partner of the School.
Participants from Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan will make new connections, deepen their knowledge about regional political and economic processes and share opinions about current issues of international relations with their colleagues from other countries. The agenda will include interactive discussions with Russian and foreign experts in economy, geopolicy of the region and public diplomacy. The second most important block of the agenda will be development of projects by the participants – the best ideas will be supported by the partners of the School.
