The School on Central Asia. Day 1. Challenges facing the region
On May 23, the School on Central Asia began its work in Bishkek. Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Kyrgyzstan Andrey Krutko addressed participants with a welcome speech. He mentioned importance of the fact that the event of the Gorchakov Fund was taking place in Kyrgyzstan recognized as a democratic state in the region representing an open discussion platform.
The diplomat also stressed significance of cultural and academic cooperation targeting rapprochement of Russia and countries of Central Asia and creation of a common base for our nations.
During the working day, experts from Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan gave lectures.
