The School on Central Asia – 2019. Day 2

The second day of the School on Central Asia was dedicated to project work. Participants identified for themselves several priority areas. After dividing into teams active brainstorming began. Academic Advisor of the School, Chairman of Association of Analysts and Expert “Izyskaniya Sredinnoy Azii” Sergey Masaulov was helping and guiding the participants. Team games were organized during the day as well as motivational trainings. Sergey Masaulov explained to the attendees how to choose goals and tasks correctly without deviating from the set course.

The work on the projects was organized under the guidance of coordinators: Dr. Yana Leksyutina, Professor of St. Petersburg State University; Dr. Dmitry Vinnik from Higher School of Economics; Dr. Mirsayitov, member of the Center of Social Studies at the National Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan; and independent Bulgarian expert Dr. Rosen Dimov, Director for Foreign Affairs of Etkin Proje.

Tomorrow, on the final day of the event, all the participants of the School on Central Asia – 2019 will present final versions of their projects to the contest committee, which will select the most challenging, important and well-developed ideas. After summarizing results of the project work, organized at the School, a cultural and entertainment program will be offered.

The School on Central Asia – 2019 is taking place in Dushanbe on November 12-16. The main topic of the School this year is “Soft Power” of Major Actors in Central Asia: Confrontation and Results”. The Gorchakov Fund had partnered with Russian-Tajik (Slavic) University in organizing this event. Informational Analytical Center of Lomonosov Moscow State University is a media partner of the School. The specific characteristic of this year’s School is its project component: the attendees are discussing in teams prospective ideas and forms of mutually beneficial cooperation.
