The Potsdam Meetings were announced at a joint news conference of the foreign ministers of Russia and Germany
On May 10, the coming Potsdam Meetings in Germany were announced to Russian and foreign journalists.
According to press service of the Ministry Foreign Affairs of Russia, acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund Sergey Lavrov told about the conference during a joint news conference following talks with his German colleague Heiko Maas.
“We are also interested in developing contacts between civil society organizations. In this regard, we believe the Petersburg Dialogue forum and the Potsdam Meetings dialogue platform are particularly important”, said Sergey Lavrov.
The Potsdam Meetings will open in Berlin on May 17. The conference, which has become traditional, was organized by the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund and the German-Russian Forum.
