The Gorchakov Fund urges to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict peacefully
On September 27, the conflict in the Nagorno-Karabakh region plunged into crisis. Different sources were reporting deaths, both among the military and the peaceful population.
Those events give rise to serious concerns. People living in the countries of the South Caucasus are no strangers to us. Many Russian citizens have family members and friends, who live there. The most important thing is that we know that people living in that area for centuries have been known for their hospitality, respect towards others and wisdom.
We believe that there is no better way to resolve the conflict than through peaceful negotiations. There is no doubt that most of the people living in different parts of the South Caucasus understand that. We urge politicians, military and all those, who can secure peace in the region, to stop escalation of the conflict and sit down at the negotiating table.
