The Gorchakov Fund starts accepting applications for the VIII Diplomatic Seminar

The Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund begins accepting applications for the traditional research and educational meeting of young experts in the field of foreign affairs – the VIII Diplomatic Seminar, which will take place in the Belarusian cities of Minsk and Brest on December 1-5, 2015.


The Diplomatic Seminar is a research and educational program and a youth platform for an open dialogue on the issues of international cooperation, economics, law, public diplomacy and history. The project, which had been implemented since 2102, gathered an audience of over 200 professionals and experts from the neighboring states and beyond. For many of them, participation in the project served as a good professional stimulus for further research and public activities.


Meetings with leading Russian scientists in the field of foreign affairs, prominent political scientists and historians, representatives of public organizations and governmental institutions of Belarus, Russia and the CIS States will be held within the framework of the project. The participants will have a unique opportunity to visit governmental agencies and memorable historical sites.


Students and research fellows, specializing in the fields of international relations, journalism, economics and law; representatives of public organziations, students unions and youth movements; young scientists and historians from Russia, the CIS States, the Baltic States, the Balkan region and Eastern Europe, ages 18-30, are invited to participate in the seminar.


The Diplomatic Seminar is an opportunity to make a statement on the international platform, expand one’s perspective and meet personally with well-known political scientists and experts, improve professional skills and make useful connections with colleagues from other countries. The Gorchakov Fund provides accommodation, meals and a cultural program. Travel expenses are covered by the participants.


A group of the delegates will be formed based on open competition.
