The Gorchakov Fund starts accepting application for participation in the anniversary Diplomatic Seminar, which will be held in Crimea for the first time!

The Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund in partnership with Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of the Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad and for the International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudichestvo) begins accepting applications for participation in a traditional research and educational meeting of young experts in the field of foreign affairs – the X Diplomatic Seminar, which will take place in Moscow, Sevastopol and Simferopol on June 4-10.


For the first time, the meeting of young leaders will be organized in partnership with Federal Agency Rossotrudnichestvo for the purpose of popularizing special program “New Generation”.


The Diplomatic Seminar is a research and educational program and a youth platform for an open dialogue on the issues of international cooperation, economics, law, public diplomacy and history. The project, which has been implemented since 2012, gathers an audience of over 300 professionals and experts from 25 neighboring states and beyond. For many of them, participation in the project served as a good professional stimulus for further research and public activities.


Meetings with leading scholars in the field of foreign affairs, prominent political scientists and historians, and representatives of public organizations will be held within the framework of the project. Master classes and interactive cases will be organized for the participants of the seminar. The attendees will have a unique opportunity to visit attractions and memorable historical sites of the Russian capital and sunny Crimea. They will visit governmental agencies: the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, federal agencies and other field-specific institutions.


The following participants are invited to take part in the seminar:


  • students and post-graduates specializing in the field of international relations, journalism, economics, political science and law;
  • representatives of public organizations, student unions and youth movements;
  • young scientists and historians from different regions of Russia, the CIS States, Europe, and Asia. Young experts from other continents can also apply;
  • international journalists working in the field of foreign policy positioning.

A group of delegates will be formed based on an open competition.

Age of the participants:

  • foreign participants – 25-30;
  • Russian citizens – 18-35.

The organizers will cover accommodation of the participants in single and double rooms, meals and the cultural program. Travel expenses Moscow – Sevastopol – a country of residence will also be covered by the hosting party.


The workshop will be held in Moscow on June 4-6, in Crimea (Simferopol and Sevastopol) on June 6-10.
