The Gorchakov Fund is organizing a meeting of Russian and Chinese experts on the shores of the Amur River

During the first days of November, representatives of leading research schools of the two countries will get together on the Russian and Chinese shores of the Amur River. A roundtable and lectures in Blagoveshchensk and on the shores of the Amur River were organized by the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund and Administration for International Education and Cooperation of Blagoveshchensk State Pedagogical University  (BSPU).


On November 2, a delegation of Russian scientists will participate in a roundtable together with colleagues from Beijing and Harbin, who specialize in Russian regional studies, in the Chinese city of Heihe.


On November 3, public lectures on the topic of modern China, its foreign policy and Russian-Chinese relations will be held in Blagoveshchensk.


Head of the School of Asian Studies of the Research National University Higher School of Economics Professor Dr. Alexey Maslov, Dean of the American Studies Department of St. Petersburg State University Dr. Yana Leksyutina and chief research fellow at the Center “Russia-China” of the RAS Institute of Far Eastern Studies Dr. Vladimir Petrovsky will speak to students and teachers of Blagoveshchensk State Pedagogical University.

The lectures will take place in Auditorium 33 of the main building of BSPU (104 Lenin St.). Beginning is at 11:00 am local time (+6 Moscow time).
