The Gorchakov Fund is opening the IX Diplomatic Seminar in Kaliningrad and Svetlogorsk!
On May 24-28, the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund is holding a research and educational program for young experts in foreign affairs — the IX Diplomatic Seminar — in Kaliningrad and Svetlogorsk (the Kaliningrad region).
The project has been implemented since 2012. During that time, over 250 professionals and experts from 20 neighboring states and beyond took part in it. For many of them, participation in the seminar served as a good stimulus for further research and public activities. This year, based on the results of an open contest, 34 young experts from 13 countries have been invited to attend.
The goal of the project is to communicate to youth academic and public environment a position of the Russian Federation and its partners on the most burning issues of the foreign affairs. Lectures and seminars dedicated to the system of European security, media wars and propaganda, the EEU and other integration projects, a policy of sanctions and ways to resolve the Ukrainian crisis are planned to be held.
Meetings with leading scientists in the field of foreign affairs, well-known political scientists and historians, representatives of public organizations will take place within the framework of the project. Master classes and interactive cases will be organized. Within the framework of the program, the participants will receive a unique opportunity to visit tourist attractions and monuments of the most western region of Russia.
Partners of the IX Diplomatic Seminar are Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University and the Center for Public and Political Studies “Russian Baltics”.
