A historical meeting took place in Singapore – for the first time heads of China and Taiwan shook each other’s hands. That event was of considerable importance not only for the Chinese, but also for the global politics, though the meeting itself did not mean reunion of two parts of one body. The future of the Asia-Pacific Region will mainly depend on the speed and methods of aggregation of the “Chinese world”.
