05 February 2016

On February 5, the 2nd CSTO Model-Conference opens in Tsagkhadzor (the Republic of Armenia) organized by Youth NGO Consensus jointly with the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund.

Leading experts in the field of security and foreign affairs will participate in the conference. Guests will include representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, National Institute of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, Russian Center for Science and Culture in Armenia and diplomats.

The organizers aim at focusing attention of public and youth on the problems of collaborative opposition to global threats and development of decisions within the framework of the CSTO’s structures. Representatives of the countries-CSTO members and other states will become delegates of the forum. The participants will have a unique opportunity to learn in detail about principles of CSTO’s activities using examples of modeled conflict situations, share their vision on collective security issues with experts in the above mentioned field, and also try themselves as decision makers by representing one of the countries involved in the work of the Collective Security Treaty Organization. The conference will end on February 8.
