Representatives of youth associations from Russia with the participation of the Gorchakov Fund are visiting North Korea
On May 21-28, representatives of Russian youth organizations are visiting Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. The hosting party is an old partner of the National Youth Council of Russia – the Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist Youth League.
According to information provided by Press Secretary of the National Youth Council Elena Marchan to the Gorchakov Fund, the Russian delegation includes representatives of All-Russian Non-Governmental Youth Organization “All-Russian Student Corps of Life-Guards”; All-Russian Non-Governmental Civic Movement “Youth Assembly of the People of Russia “WE ARE RUSSIANS”; Administration for Youth Policy of the Sochi City Administration; Institute of People’s Diplomacy of the Asia-Pacific Region; Club of Friends of the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund; All-Russian Non-Governmental Organization “Young Guard of United Russia”; Fund of Social Support to Students in a Hardship; All-Russian Non-Governmental Youth Organization “Russian Union of Rural Youth”; Institute of Youth Policy and International Relations of Moscow Technological University; All-Russian Non-Governmental Youth Organization “The All-Union Leninist Young Communist League” (Komsomol); newspaper Delovoy Peterburg. The delegation is headed by Chairman of the National Youth Council of Russia, member of the Gorchakov Club Grigory Petushkov.
The program includes negotiations with the head of the Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist Youth League, a visit to the exhibition of friendship between the nations, a visit to the Embassy of Russia in North Korea, a meeting with students from Kim Il-sung University and a visit to the Museum of Youth Movement and others.
The Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist Youth League is a major youth organization in North Korea founded by President Kim Il-sung in the 1920s-1940s, specified Elena Marchan.
