On June 25, 2020 online expert conference “Russia and Central Asia: Efforts after the Pandemic” will be organized via Zoom. The conference will serve as a platform for a dialogue of experts focusing on cooperation between Russia and Central Asian countries.

The event will be organized by Information and Analytics Center for Studies of Sociopolitical Processes in the Post-Soviet Space at Moscow State University with the support of the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund.

Russia and countries of Central Asia are strategic partners with established close economic ties. Common regional problems, which have emerged as a result of the pandemic, require solutions that can be achieved with a constant and open dialogue between the countries. It is planned to discuss problems in the fields of economy, culture and healthcare during the event.

Discussion topics will include problems of healthcare development and administration, consequences of the borders closing for labor migration, overcoming economic consequences of the global crisis, cultural cooperation of the countries during the coronavirus pandemic and others.

Top experts and scientists in the areas of international relations, economy and healthcare from Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan will participate in the conference as speakers.

In April of 2020 during network discussion “Russia and Central Asia: Vector of Cooperation”, the experts already discussed regional problems from the perspective of modern challenges, shared their vision of cooperation in the areas of security, economy and politics.
