An international conference and workshop dedicated to the 300th anniversary of Belgian-Russian relations is taking place in Brussels and Liege

An international conference and workshop dedicated to the 300th anniversary of Belgian-Russian relations is taking place in Belgium with the support of the Gorchakov Fund. The forum was organized by Belgian Peter I Foundation.

Experts from Belgium, Russia, France and the Netherlands are discussing historical and modern ties between Russia and Belgium in financial, industrial and diplomatic spheres.

Senior researcher of the Institute of Economics RAS Dr. Valery Stepanov will make a presentation about financial and economic ties of the two countries.

Senior researcher of the Institute of World History RAS Dr. Alla Namazova will introduce the audience to the history of diplomatic relations between Russia and European countries, in particular, with Belgium. Her presentation will take place at the University of Liège, one of the largest universities in the country.
