A resolution adopted by participants of the diplomatic school in Yakutsk will be handed over to leaders of Russia and China

The International Summer Diplomatic School for high school students “Russia and China – Future from the Perspective of a Younger Generation” has ended in Yakutsk. As it was reported earlier, the Gorchakov Fund provided support to the event.

During ten days, 15 high school students from the region were taking classes at the premises of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Yakutia. Their guests were represented by 10 peers from Moscow and 26 young diplomats from China.

According to information provided by the Ministry of Education of Yakutia, instructors of the Diplomatic Academy under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia and representatives of Chinese science had prepared a series of lectures and workshops. Business games “The Shanghai Organization for Development – 2027 Model”, “The BRICS Summit Model”, “The Russian-Chinese Intergovernmental Commission Model”, and “Debates Interpshere” sparked special interest among the participants.

Consul General of China in Khabarovsk Mr. Guo Zhijun and Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Evgeny Tomikhin took part as honorary guests of the workshop.

The classes ended by adopting a resolution, which included recommendation of developing bilateral relations. The final document will be forwarded to leaders of both states.

We would like to remind that the school had been organized by the Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia in Yakutsk, the Department of External Affairs of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Sakha, Republican Resource Center “Young Yakuts”, the Junior Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Sakha as well as local NGOs “Union for Advancement and Consolidation of Public Diplomacy Intersphere” and the Sterkh Foundation.
