A meeting with participants of the New Generation Program of Rossotrudnichestvo took place at the Gorchakov Fund

A meeting with participants of International Youth Forum “Development of Public Diplomacy” was organized at the Gorchakov Fund. The meeting was attended by 30 delegates of the New Generation Program of Rossotrudnichestvo from Serbia, Montenegro, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Abkhazia, Botswana, Belarus, and Azerbaijan. The participants included foreign public figures, journalists and representatives of academia, who are interested in opportunities of cultural cooperation with Russia.

Since 2011 Rossotrudnichestvo has been coordinating the program of short-term study trips to Russia for young representatives of political, social, scientific and business communities from foreign countries. The program was approved by a decree of the President of the Russian Federation. Around 1000 representatives form different countries visit Russia annually as part of the New Generation Program.

Deputy Executive Director of the Gorchakov Fund Roman Grishenin introduced the participants of the final 35th delegation in 2019 to activities of the Fund. He told about priority areas of work, major events and opportunities for cooperation with the Gorchakov Fund.

“We are trying to talk about Russia as honestly and openly as possible, both about strengths and weaknesses. Reasons behind certain steps by Russia and other countries in their foreign policy are analyzed during the events organized by the Fund”, added Roman Grishenin.

International Youth Forum “Development of Public Diplomacy” is taking place in Moscow on November 20-23. The participants of the forum met with representatives of the Council of Young Diplomats under MFA of Russia, the Diplomatic Academy under MFA of Russia, and Institute for Strategic Studies and Forecasts at RUDN University. They also visited the editorial office of MIA Russia Today (Sputnk Agency).
