A welcome message of Foreign Minister of Russia and Chairman of the Management Board of the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund Sergey Lavrov addressed to organizers and guests of a session of the Potsdam Meetings Russian-German Forum.
A discussion about principles of work in modern media will be held within the framework of international media school “Grozny 2017”, which will be held on July 16-21 in the capital of the Chechen Republic in the city of Grozny. Organizers of the media school are the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund, IA REGNUM and the Ministry of the Chechen Republic for Youth Affairs. Young journalists from Russia, Armenia, Georgia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan are invited to attend.
Traditional conference “The Potsdam Meetings”, organized by the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund and the German-Russian Forum, opened in Berlin on June 22. Top politicians and public figures from the two countries, diplomats, journalists, and representatives of the business community got together to discuss ways of political and economic crisis recovery between Russia and the West.
On June 22, Remembrance Day, participants of the conference “The Potsdam Meetings” opening in Berlin will visit Tiergarten, an area of the German capital. There, the attendees of the forum from Russia and Germany will lay flowers to the Soviet War Memorial.
On June 29-30, international forum “The Primakov Readings” dedicated to outstanding Russian scientist, politician and member of the Academy of Sciences Yevgeny Primakov will take place in Moscow. The event is organized by Primakov National Research Institute of World Economy and International Relations. This year, the forum will be held with the participation of the Primakov Center for Foreign Policy Cooperation. The main topic of the Primakov Readings is “World in 2035”.
International Conference “Russkiy Mir: the Present and the Future” dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Russkiy Mir Foundation is taking place Moscow on 21 June, 2017. The Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund participated in the event.
Exactly 10 years ago on June 21, 2007 President of Russia Vladimir Putin signed an important historical document. That day, the Russkiy Mir Foundation was created based on a decree of the head of the state in order “to promote the Russian language, which is a national treasure of Russia and an important element of the Russian and world culture, and also to support Russian language study programs abroad”.
Scientific Conference and Workshop “Development of the Common Sociocultural SCO Space for the Youth”, organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, All-Russian Public Organization “Russian Youth Union” and Tomsk State Pedagogical University with the support of the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund, ended in Tomsk.
