The Gorchakov Fund sponsored participation of a Russian scientist in an international conference on European security held in Bucharest
The International Scientific Conference “European and Regional Security: Contributions by Russia and Romania into Strengthening of Climate of Trust in the Black Sea Region” took place in Bucharest.
A discussion at Nicolae Titulescu European Foundation was held with the support of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Romania. The conference was opened by former Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and President of the Chamber of Deputies of Romani Adrian Nastase. The attendees were welcomed by Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Romania Valery Kuzmin.
Presenters included many well-known politicians and scientists from both countries: Senator, former Minister of Justice, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania Titus Corlatean; Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, Professor at the Department of Political Sciences of Moscow State University Dr. Pavel Tsyganov; Professor, Army Reserve Major General, Executive Director of the Institute of Defence Sciences and Military History Dr. Mikhail Ionesku; Chairman of Romanian Society for Historical Sciences, member of the Academy of Sciences of Romania Dr. Ayon-Scertu; member of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, Advisor to Executive Director of Federal Agency on Press and Mass Communications, Director General of the Institute for Foreign Policy Research and Initiatives Veronika Krasheninnikova; Head of the Group of Balkan Studies at RISS, member of the Gorchakov Club Nikita Bondarev and others.
